Go here to get the latest Flash Player. iPaper - Page 1TOWN OF SOUTHAMPTON RECREATION NEWS SUMMER 2011 Parks & Recreation, Senior Services and Youth Bureau Registration for all Parks & Recreation Summer Programs begins Tuesday, May 31 NFL’s Punt, Pass & Kick Contest Date: Friday, September 23 Time: 6:00 p.m. Place: Red Creek Park, 102 Old Riverhead Road, Hampton Bays The Town of Southampton Parks & Recreation Deptartment is pleased to once again host a local competition in this national program that qualifies participants for the NFL’S Regional Competition, it is FREE and is intended to encourage youth participation and emphasize the “Fun” element of football! Boys and girls will compete in three football skills: 1. Punting 2. Passing 3. Kicking (scores based on distance and accuracy). Participants compete in four age groups: 8-9, 10-11, 12-13 & 14-15. (Age is determined as of December 31, 2011) Contestants must show proof of age and be registered by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 21. Please call 728-8585 for further information. (under 12 must be accompanied by an adult) Come join us for a fun filled afternoon of snapper fishing. Prizes will be awarded for most snappers caught in four age groups: 5 - 8 , 9 - 11, 12 14, & 15 years - adult. There will also be a prize for the largest snapper overall.
