The Organic Center (The Center) is pleased to share with you our Annual Report (January 1, 2013 - December 31, 2013) and 2013 financial summary.

This year’s Annual Report highlights The Center’s many scientific and communications accomplishments of 2013. As you well know, The Center has been involved in many exciting projects this past year, including our recently completed work documenting organic methods for preventing fire blight in apple and pear orchards. Throughout the year, The Center began work on four ongoing projects that have been made possible by the generous support of our donors. The first is a partnership with the University of Virginia examining the effects of organic farming practices on nitrogen pollution. We are also collaborating with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Research Service to examine methods for decreasing arsenic uptake in organically grown rice. Our third project looks at soil health on organic farms with researchers at Northeastern University. Finally, we are collaborating with Harvard University to study the health effects of dietary pesticide exposure.

You can read more about our past and current work here. We hope that you will take a look, and in doing so, recognize that your steadfast support of The Organic Center has truly made an impact.
