EDITOR’S LETTER Greetings, Southern Maryland Brides! It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the first digital edition of The Southern Maryland Wedding Guide magazine. As always, it is our mission to be the premiere resource guide for anyone planning a wedding in the Southern Maryland region. We want to help you find everything you need to make planning your wedding easier. That means providing a directory of local wedding service providers, local reception site locations, a bridal events calendar, and even ideas by featuring other Southern Maryland weddings. You’ll find ALL of this – and more - in this edition of our magazine. I am especially excited to launch this digital edition because of my love of weddings and technology. And now we’re able to combine the two! We’ve included the same helpful information, features and pictures as in our past magazines but you’ll also notice some fun and exciting elements that you can only get from a digital magazine. In the same way that I greeted you when you opened this edition, you’ll notice the addition of video on other pages of the magazine. You may also notice that e-mail addresses and website addresses are now “clickable”. This means you can immediately visit these websites and send an e-mail – all at the click of a mouse! Go ahead and browse through the magazine – even download it to your computer so you can refer to it anytime you want. The launch of our first digital magazine edition just happens to coincide with the launch of our new website at www.SoMdWeddings.com. We first launched the website in December of 2002, two months after starting our magazine. Since then, we have made a few modifications to the website but nothing that compares to the design overhaul and features that we’ve added to our new website.
