The couple currently lives in Brandywine. Carrie said she wanted a fairytale wedding. “I could picture in my head all the beautiful lighting throughout the hall creating this romantic setting,” she said. “I wanted all my friends and family to be there with me. I always dreamed of gorgeous flowers and perfect table settings. “I just wanted that fairytale wedding.” Carrie and Steve worked to plan their fairytale day with local master bridal consultant Mary Rahall. “Mary was the best!” Carrie said. “She was always there for me no matter what time it was or how crazy my questions were.” The couple used a favorite color scheme -- brown and blue -- everywhere. The invitations had a brown border with blue polka dots. The bridal party wore brown and blue. The tables were decorated with brown tablecloths and blue napkins. The ceremony and reception were held at Middleton Hall in Waldorf. Decorator Tracy Burch of Something Special transformed the hall with flowers and greenery. Cream and brown fabric draped the head table. Floral Designs by Pam provided the flowers -- white and pink roses. Carrie wore a strapless ivory dress from Bridal Secrets in LaPlata. Her hair and makeup was done by Lynn Kilinski of Illusions Hair & Nail Salon in LaPlata. “She did such a good job because I didn’t want to look completely different,” Carrie said. “She gave me a beautiful, 18 | SOUTHERN MARYLAND WEDDINGS WINTER / SPRING 2009 |
