Log Finish Strippers ABR Citrus Paint Remover Log Pre-Treatment Sikkens Log Pre-Treatment Sikkens Log Pre-Treatment is a clear waterborne exterior treatment which stabilizes wood, minimizing splitting, warping and cracking. It will keep out excess moisture while allowing moisture vapor in the wood to escape gradually. This is an ideal temporary coating for those woods with a higher than 18% moisture content that need 6-12 months to dry out before applying a stain. Log PreTreatment can be used on exterior lumber, logs and smooth/rough sawn siding. ABR™ Citrus Paint Removers are designed to remove multiple layers of latex paint, oil paint, varnish, stain and other finishes from wood, masonry, plastered walls or metal in a single application. ABR™ Citrus Paint Removers are a unique development in the paint and coating removal industry. They do NOT contain methylene chloride and offer a fresh citrus scent. The formulas are recommended for both interior and exterior use. No neutralizing is needed. The formulas are non-damaging to wood, masonry, plastered walls and metal. Product may be reusable on some finishes, increasing the amount of coverage per gallon. The amount of coverage may also vary depending on the surface and the layers of finished to be stripped. Average coverage for ABR Paste is 25-75 SF per gallon and for ABR Gel, coverage averages 75-125 SF per gallon. Application: Apply ABR Paint Remover approximately 1/8-1/4” thick with a natural bristle brush. Allow it to remain on the surface until all paint is dissolved. ABR Paint Remover will penetrate an average of one layer of paint every 15-30 minutes. It may sag if applied too thick over latex finishes. If this occurs, apply thinner coats. Allow the product to dwell for one hour and apply a second coat directly on top of the first coat. Removal: Scrape away the dissolved residue. Rinse the surface with a clean sponge or scrub brush and clean water to remove excess ABR Paint Remover Residue. Sikkens Log Pre-Treatment can be applied with a nylon polyester brush, garden sprayer, roller or pad at temperatures between 40-90 degrees Fahrenheit.
