Interior Finish Cetol UV Interior Clear Sikkens Cetol UV Interior Clear is an acrylic, waterborne transparent finish for interior woodwork made for light-colored woods or when a matte finish is desired. It contains ultraviolet absorbers which retard the yellowing of light woods such as pine, oak, ash and spruce. Use on ceiling, walls, logs and dry saunas. Cetol UV Interior is non-yellowing, non-flammable, washable and quick drying. Preparation: Clean surface with a solution of 4 ounces of 100% powdered Tri-Sodium Phosphate (TSP) or phosphate-free substitute in one (1) gallon of warm water. Do not allow cleaning solution to dry on surface. Use a damp cloth or sponge to remove residue from the surface and allow to thoroughly dry. Fill all holes and cracks with a good quality tinted or stained acrylic wood filler to match the color of the project. Let dry fully before sanding. Do not use oil based fillers, putties or wax sticks. Sand the surface with 150-180 grit sandpaper. Remove sanding dust by vacuuming then wipe surface with a damp cloth. Application: Use on bare wood only. Apply when the surface and air temp is 50 to 90 degrees. Gently stir the product before application: shaking can cause bubbles. It is preferred that this product not be thinned. If necessary, dilute with 5-10% water. Use a synthetic nylon-polyester brush or pad. Apply in well ventilated area and in the direction of the wood grain. Apply 1st coat of Cetol UV Interior. Let surface dry for minimum of 2 hours. Lightly sand with 220 grit sandpaper, or a fine scuffing pad and remove the dust. Apply 2nd coat of Cetol UV Interior. Clean tools with soap and water. Application Don’t’s: Do not apply if humidity is over 80% and in such locations as bathrooms and poolrooms. Do not apply in high wear areas such as kitchen cabinets, doors, furniture, floors, previous coatings or dark woods. Floor Finish SURE SHINE is a water reducible polyurethane floor finish which was developed specifically to protect wood floors where a durable clear finish is desired. SURE SHINE is a non-yellowing, nonflammable and low-odor finish that when cured is more durable than solvent type finishes. SURE SHINE dries to re-coat within one hour and provides superior resistance to alcohol, water and most household chemicals. For best results, wipe the entire area to be finished with a tack rag prior to applying finish. Use a synthetic pad applicator, synthetic bristle brush or foam brush. DO NOT USE ROLLER or other applicator that will apply thick coats. Coverage: Between 600 and 800 square feet per gallon per coat. Coverage: 450-550 SF/Gallon Shelf Life – Approximately three years in an unopened container.
