While visiting our old-fashioned Cider Mill on weekends, families can watch cider being made and take in the aroma of our spiced donuts, caramel apples and homemade apple pies. Our gift shop specializes in Michigan made products, including jams, jellies and honey. We carry a large variety of antique apples that our ancestors grew and enjoyed. Take a stroll along the gently rolling creek and embrace the peaceful, quieter times that we all knew as children. School tours are available by appointment. Founded in 1841, Hell is a little town on its way up and a highlight of any visit to the area. It’s always Halloween at Screams Ice Cream. This year 'round Halloween decoration and specialty mask store also serves sinfully delicious ice cream treats in tempting homemade waffle cones. Kids of all ages enjoy the toppings with scary names that they dip out of an authentic coffin. While in Hell, you can mail a singed postcard from the Official United States Post Office, check the weather at the National Weather Service Observation Station and enjoy a snack and beverage from Hell’s Kitchen at the Hell Country Store and Spirits. Enjoy a permanent train display and other historic displays representing Hamburg since its settlement in 1831. Temporary exhibits of clothing and textiles change every two months. These exhibits include wedding gowns, bathing suits, business attire, and evening gowns through the decades. The Tea Room is open for special events and is also available for private parties. The museum has three gift shops filled with wonderful items. Hours: Wednesday 4 pm-7 pm and Saturday 11 am-3 pm. Call for more information.
