Experience the adventure of Michigan downhill skiing and snowboarding on hills as steep as a 250-foot vertical drop or as tame as a bunny hill. Seven chair lifts and ten rope tows can certainly accommodate large groups. The Chairlift Ski Shop has all of your clothing and accessories needs. Equipment rentals and lessons for all ages make learning to ski possible for everyone. Some area accommodations feature special ski getaway packages. Hours vary. It is one of the oldest standing churches in Livingston County. The chapel’s gothic revival architecture consists of many appealing features, including the swan wood trim and leaded glass windows. This charming facility, which has been restored to its original grandeur, can seat up to 130 people. The chapel may be rented for religious functions, weddings, meetings, historical tours and performances by local musicians. Group tours will want to ask about the motorcoach entertainment programs. Eighteen miles of serene bridle trails are available just outside our barn and provide peaceful surroundings as you mosey through the wooded terrain. Rides range from 1 to 2 hours for folks of all riding abilities ages 8 and up. For riders under age 8, hand-led pony rides are available. We offer hayrides, private and group lessons, birthday parties, summer camp and clinics for the beginner. We are open 7 days a week, reservations required. Riding Stable activities are available during our off season, September through May, call for hours. But don’t forget your jeans and boots! Get ready to saddle up and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Pinckney Recreation Area on one of our guided trail rides. Indulge in the fresh air and enjoy the wildlife as you relax on a horseback ride through 1,000 acres of beautiful Michigan woodlands. Trail rides range from 45 to 90 minutes. Hand-led pony (or horse) rides are also available for the wee cowpokes in your family. We strongly encourage reservations and a weight limit of 240 pounds applies. The riding stable is open 7 days a week from 10 am to 6:30 pm, Memorial weekend through Labor Day. Weather permitting, off season weekend rides are available April, May and September thru November.
