KéO Sprint Laneo $159 Laneo is an international organization devoted to preserving natural sites dedicated to open air sports. Look pioneered releasable ski bindings in the 1940s and created the first step-in bike pedals in 1984. Look’s design innovation and quality give you the same performance and safety benefits as the best European pro riders. Available in red, graphite, or white (laneo) Super-strong reinforced polymid body Pedal and Cleat Care Clipless pedals have greatly improved cycling. “Clipless” pedals made obsolete older styles that used a leather or nylon strap (the “clip”) to secure the foot to the pedal. With modern clipless pedals, a cyclist’s shoe steps into the bike’s pedals, much like a ski boot steps into a binding. These pedals release easily, but also keep a rider’s feet attached to the pedals, making riding safer and more efficient. It’s critical to properly affix the cleats to the shoe—mounting a cleat in the wrong position can lead to overuse injuries. If you need assistance, come by the shop and we’ll be happy to help. Pedals allow your foot to rotate (or “float”) slightly throughout the pedal stroke, which helps prevent injury. If you hear squeaking while pedaling, or find it difficult to clip out of the pedal, then a drop of lube on the cleat can help. You can also adjust pedal tension to make it easier or more difficult to clip out of the pedal. After you’ve ridden for some time with clipless pedals, you may want to tighten them up slightly. Any time the cleat becomes noticeably worn or you find it excessively easy to rotate out of the pedal, it’s probably time to change. We’ve got replacements here at the shop, so drop by to get set up or to upgrade your system. Some pedals even come with a sticker to help you replace a cleat. The sticker is an outline of the cleat and goes on the sole of the shoe over the old one. Once you remove the old cleat, you can then line the new one up in the same position. A Look Original—the “Floating” Cleat KéO red cleats offer nine degrees of float, or rotation, allowing your leg its most natural path when pedaling. Increased float helps prevent injuries and will keep you riding long-term. - All pedals come with Grey cleats for 4.5 degrees of float - Black cleats for no float are also available - Delta cleats still available for replacement Memory Clip cleat position allows you to install a new cleat in exactly the same position as the previous cleat NEW Grip Cleat gives you a molded, non-slip rubber grip surface that improves walkability off the bike All L All Look ook k pedals ped dals l feature feature t al lower ower h height ei ight ht between between t the th t he a axle xle l and d sol sole le for f optimal opti timal l pedaling ped dali ling power and d effi efficiency. ffici iency.
